Today MAMA celebrated 3 years since the doors firs

Today MAMA celebrated 3 years since the doors first opened to our clinic in Kyarushesha. Preceding the clinic was 3 years of outreach assessing the needs of the area and building relationships with the local community. We first rented property, then raised funds for a purpose built clinic. With the sheer hard work and support of the MAMA staff and the surrounding community, the clinic has gone from strength to strength taking challenges in its stride.
Today we were very proud of past and current staff who have helped us become a reputable health centre in both Hoima and Kikuube Districts. For one of our staff we also held her baby shower! Mary, our in charge, will be going on maternity leave soon. We hope she has enjoyed the party and gifts from the MAMA team.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, we look forward to developing our services further and sharing our achievements with you.

MAMA would like to give a huge thank you to @kontizasdimitrios He has spent some time in Hoima with the MAMA projects, and also stayed in our MAMA Grace clinic in Kyarushesha. There he repainted the paediatric walls with murals, and also decorated the health education/waiting areas. All of our staff are so pleased with the result, I’m sure you will like them too! #thankyou

Before and after shots…. Thank you to everyone who sponsored us today when we walked up the escarpment from our Runga clinic. Bit of a wet start which kept it cool for us until we reached the main road. It was a welcome sight seeing our vehicle waiting for us at the end of the walk! Thank you to Frank for driving us, thank you to Barongo, Alan and the lovely Sam who joined us at the last minute!
